The Audio brand was established in Malta in 1973, making it a foremost household name in the home electronics market. The company is proud of having introduced the first audio, video and Hi-Fi equipment almost 35 years ago. Since the very beginning its founding brothers, Oliver, Anthony, Joseph and Saviour immediately became local agents for Pioneer Electronics, importing directly from Japan in 1974. After introducing Pioneer onto the local market Audio was awarded exclusive agency from Yamaha, Marantz, Mission, Panasonic and Audiosonic, expanding into various other lines.
